Have we become desensitized to the problem? Are we supporting parents? Do we intervene on a child’s behalf when we see abuse? Do we try to help those in poverty or merely judge them for not taking care of their children? Good dialogue is the first step. Let us know what you think.
Your Experience with Spartanburg Community Indicators
Wow! I cannot believe that I am beginning my fourth year as the project coordinator for Spartanburg Community Indicators Project. The project has grown and metamorphasized during that time. Everyone I’ve encountered that either was or still is involved with the project has their heart in the right place and cares tremendously about Spartanburg. We may not always have consensus about what needs to be done, but usually there is consensus that something needs to be done. With that attitude, I look for great things to continue to happen in Spartanburg.

Volunteer Opportunites
Non-profits can post opportunites for volunteers. I would think the more information posted the better.

The Status of our Natural Resources
We had a good meeting last night on the status of our natural resources and by good I mean good participation and discussion. Obviously, there is a lot to do on this issue. Feel free to keep the dialogue going here or on our new facebook page.
